Varicose vein on placenta?

My doctor just called and said she wants to get a second opinion on my ultrasound because there appears to be a varicose vein on my placenta. i tried looking this up online but couldn't find anything. has anyone had a similar situation? if so, what exactly are the implications of this? if i do have a varicose vein how does it affect my baby, my pregnancy, and myself? i'm just clueless as to what a 'varicose vein on my placenta' means and would like some clarification. TIA!

    I don't know anything about this.  But I hope it is just something that they need to keep an eye on and tht your preg will cont to go smoothly.  So I am just here to offer you hugs.  Hope you get some clarifcation at your next ultrasound.
