It was all about initiative 2 in California, about making conditions for livestock more healthy and liveable. (IE more space, etc) I felt really bad for the animals caught in the undertow.
I didn't watch it but my mom told me about it. She was telling me to buy free range which is funny because I've been telling her the same thing for about 18 months.

I saw it, and I'm glad Oprah decided to cover this topic, although I turned it off after a while, cause it was so sad. I'm a vegetarian, but I cook meat for DH, and I would like to start buying all organic/humanely raised meat for him. It's way more expensive, but definitely worth it.
Re: Did anyone watch Oprah today?
I DVR'd it, but I'm a little nervous to watch. I'm already a little obsessive about Organic, fair-trade, cage-free type foods already.
Was it bad??
if by 'bad' you mean footage of the inhumanity of the treatment of animals, then yes.
However, I think it's good that so many more ppl are now aware of how these calves/chickens/pigs are treated.... and consider options.
