Craigslist lady- you have to be kidding me?

I listed a bunch of stuff on Craigslist this weekend that Cody has outgrown. One of the items is a dresser/changing table combo that I had SO buy and was certain that we'd use it in the nursery. Well, I wound up changing my mind and we went with a different set. So this dresser has been sitting unused in the garage for quite some time.

A lady emailed me yesterday about the dresser. She wanted measurements, more pictures, the type of wood and color. So I obliged and sent her the info along with 5 more pictures.

She then emails back and wants pictures of the drawers open. Again, I go out to the garage and open the drawers and take more pictures.

Then today I get another email from her and this was her reply:

I?m going to use this as a dresser with a mirror, not a changing table so I don't care the the pad is not included, so I need more information from you that you have not yet provided.
 
Do you mean 50? length overall? Does that count the edges around the corner? Would you measure the height/length of the lower part of dresser and also of upper part? And what is the height of the fronts of the drawer faces?
 
The bottom right drawer looks like it has 2 shelves?for what purpose?

What is the depth of the drawers when you open them? How deep are the drawers? What did you store in this dresser?

OMG lady, if you want to be that specific maybe you should be going to a furniture store instead of asking for a million details on a $100 dresser from Craigslist.

Maybe I am being pms'y because I really feel like telling her to go fly a kite...But if I did that I would probably have to include the height and width of the kite, what color it is, what it is made out of, how long the string is...and that's just more effort than I want to make!

    Just tell her if shes that interested she can come check it out on her own.  Just make sure DH is there.

    Hmm...is she just a tad ridiculous???  why doesn't she come look at it herself and decide?  just because you look doesn't mean you buy!  I would tell her you will keep it posted until someone normal comes along!

    WOW!  I would just tell her that she can come view the dresser in person to see if it meets her criteria!

    WTF?!  I would tell her you broke your tape measure taking all of her crazy measurements and if she needs more info she can come look at it herself...and to bring her own tape measure!

    See, I wouldn't even be able to tell her off correctly! Big Smile

     I don't let people come to the house to look at stuff, even if SO is there. There was a family in our city who were held hostage, and the husband was shot and killed by people who came to look at something from Craigslist...I usually meet them in a business parking lot. I am tempted to just tell her it has been sold!

    Wow, that's scary.  If you have someone else interested, I'd just go with them.  If you don't, then I'd take it somewhere neutral & tell her to meet you to come look at it & if she likes it then she can take it.

    Is this still sold in stores?  See if you can find a link of it on a site somewhere that still sells if it is, and tell her any information she needs she can find on there.  And it was used as a baby item like it originally was intended for.  That's what I would do at least.  That or ignore her/tell her it was sold haha.  Unless you really need to sell it and need the money, that's probably the easiest bet.  Crazy lady!
