dang it (tooth update)

We took Tommy to the dentist today (she was closed last week). Turns out, both of his front teeth are loose. We have another appt in a month to take another x-ray to see if there are any changes at the root. 

Best case scenario: the teeth will tighten up on their own.

Worst case scenario: Tommy will need a crown on the right (read: root canal + crown) and a crown on the left. This, for Tommy would mean sedation to have it done. 

Pleh.

ETA: Thanks, Jezca, for the exciting post that kept me busy while waiting!

    Root canal?  For a one-year-old?  That is brutal.  Hope those teeth tighten on their own!

    Whoa, definitely praying for the best case scenario.  Is he currently in any pain or does it bother him in any way?  Sorry!

    I hope they tighten up on their own. Poor guy!

    I'm curious why they would do a root canal on baby teeth. Did the dentist say anything about that?.

    yeah- she did. w/ him being just barely over one, his baby teeth will be playing  a part in speech development- especially those front ones.

    I hope the teeth tighten up on their own.  is he going to be a vampire for H-ween now?  Jack could be Team Jacob and be a warewolf.

    yeah- she did. w/ him being just barely over one, his baby teeth will be playing  a part in speech development- especially those front ones. 

    That makes sense. I hope it doesn't come to that. Root canals are no fun.

    Aw, poor baby :-(  I really hope he doesn't need a root canal!  How long would it take for them to tighten up on their own?  And when would you know?

    My teeth hurt for him.  Sad
