Need Help

Does anyone have a list of what to register for?  I am a new mom to be and don't know where to start with my registry.  I just want to make sure I cover as much as possible.

Re: Need Help

  • I don't really have a list but I asked my friends who have kids what they liked best then also took hints from the BRU website recomendations

  • I read the baby bargain books and it helped me choose the "big items" like the car seat, etc.  Then it had list of items that I needed as far as diapers and clothes.  But, to be honest I took a mommy friend with me because she knew A LOT of things that I didn't even think of.  Hope this helps :o)
  • i know babies r us and target give you a list of everything you'll need and then some.  but it's just an overall suggestion.  however, it doesn't go into detail of which brands are better.  and it doesn't help that there are so many options of what to get.  i'd recommend doing some research before going to register.  keep in mind that not all babies like pacifiers or bottles and swings or bouncy seats.  i'd still put them on your registry because those are great things that people like to buy.  i wouldn't put clothes on your registry because the outfits might be gone by the time ppl go and get them.  you can put basic onsies, like gerber white ones in the 5 pack.  i never liked using just tops for DD i enjoyed onsies more, i just bothered me when her top would raise up whenever anyone held her Smile  in regards to bottles i used dr. browns and really liked them.  just go through the store and register for the things you like, even toys, cds, and books.  because most places will give you a discount after your EDD on whatever is left on your registry.  oh and don't forget the diapers and wipes Wink

have fun registering and try not to let it overwhelm you .

I agree.  Start with these lists, which I think you can print online before you go, and then just start looking at the reviews that some things get, especially the important things like carseat, stroller, crib, dresser, bouncer, etc.  If you don't find the lists there I know I googled and found one to print that was just a general list.
