Did you take or are you planning on taking the childbirth class(es) again? I figure that I probably will, but I was just wondering if you found it helpful.

We didnt do them at all either time and we survived... I wanted to but last time DS was early and this time our hospital canceled the classes
I think unless you went from like Lamaze to Bradley method or went from a medicated to anun medicated birth there isnt much difference and its totally up to you...
I decided not to b/c I had just done it 3 years ago and I figured not much has changed. I might have done one if I was going to a different hospital or if it had been much longer in between kiddos.
no we wont be taking another one. ds#1 is only 21 months, so when i go into labor all that information will come back to me. i may do a little reading to refresh myself but other than that, i dont need another class.
In our classes there was a couple who were having their fifth child and have gone to the classes every time. Let's just say her DH was not thrilled to be there, especially seeing as HE was the one who delivered their last baby on the bathroom floor because her labor was so fast.

No I am not taking any classes this time.. we were thinking of doing the sibling class but it is for 3 yrs plus and ds will be 3 on sept 8th and I am haivng a c section on nov 10th so it is close.. so we decided against it. I have though of going to the breastfeeding class/demo at bru though.. I onlhy bf ds for 6 weeks and I am going to attempt to bf this time around for 6 mo to a year.
DD 11/5/10 born by c section
DS 9/8/07 born by c section due to Pre-e/Hellp Syndrome
m/c at 5 1/2 weeks 8/4/06
I didn't take one this time. My hospital didn't do a refresher, so I couldn't see dedicating weeks to classes when I think I remember a good amount if not what I need.
Are you hoping for a VBAC? If so taking a childbirth class may help! I used hypnosis for my 2 VBACs and it was so very helpful! You can read about my experiences at www.pregnancybirthandbabies.com
I took childbirth classes with each pregnancy. Each time I learned more tools and had a better birth each time too. So if you want some more tools for your birth this time you may want to think about it.
Hypnobabies has a great home study option, which is nice because you can do it at home on your own schedule.
