DD is in tears cause she is working so hard on this one. is there something i can give her to speed things up a bit? i heard something about brown sugar and water once, but i might have heard wrong.
Miralax. DD's pedi reccommeded it and it works great! They said up to a table spoon in her milk but I think I started w/ 1/2 a table spoon and now she just gets 1/2 a tea spoon in her morning milk and she hardly has any problems.
Apple juice never fails for B. You can water it down, but straight almost guarantees a reaction if the stoppage isn't too severe. Prune and white grape juice work well too.
Take a rectal temp with loads of Vaseline on the thermometer. This might be especially helpful if she's showing signs of needing to go. I think in this case there really is no such thing as too much lube - it doubles as a comfort agent with the thermometer going in, and a lube for what's coming out.
Bicycle kicks
Avoid giving applesauce, bananas, toast, and rice until she's fairly regular again.
Contemplating the snow.

I second prune juice. We gave it to dd on our ped.s rec. Start with a tiny bit and work your way up to an ounce. We never had to give her the whole ounce...a little bit goes a long way. I used all natural, organic prune juice. It's works perfectly.
For immediate relief, glycerin suppository. It will make her want to push and also softens the stool it comes in contact with.
For long-term maintenance, I've found prune juice works best. We do 3 oz. every other day.
This. glycerin suppositories. Put a diaper on fast following. Also, make sure you put it in far enough so that she doesn't just squeeze it out. I promise you, total blowout.
