what do you give? DD does not eat chicken...will sometimes get a bite in of ground beef or turkey; she likes beans, so I try to give her that if all else fails...sometimes she'll eat peanut butter...other times she'll just play with it. Any suggestions? Her pedi does not want her to have eggs until she's 2 due to sensitive skin issues.
I was even thinking of asking if there is some sort of baby protein shake / additive type thing. TIA!
Re: If your LO is picky about protein...
I try to give her peanut butter and beans because she hates the texture of meat. She can even pick it out when it's mixed with something.
THe only meat she'll eat ia rotisserie chicken. I'm guessing that's because it's so soft. I did try some deli meat the other day, and she loved it, so maybe that would work too.
Yeah, she'll sometimes eat deli turkey (i should clarified that in my OP..the turkey I was referring to is sliced deli). Most of the time she spits it out

Ooohhh! I'll have to try that! Can you find that in any grocery store?
I never thought about it as a texture thing...which make sense!

Quinoa has a lot of protein, and recently my LOs have been loving lentils. I made them lentils and potroast in the slow cooker and so the meat juices flavoered them- that was a big hit. DH got the meat, they got the rest.
They like grilled cheese, so I shred deli turkey and put a little in there.
They like hummus spread on toast.
And DH made them mac and cheese with cut up hot dog (ick) and they inhaled it, so I want to play with that and find a little more of anutritious, but similar alternative.
Good luck! And I would say keep trying, Mine go through phases of what they'll eat and much to my dismay, it's rarely the same thing at the same time!
