What big toys does LO use?

I want to get the walker out of the box, but DH says he doesn't want our house to look like a toys r us, so we'll need to trade it out with something else we have out. Right now she still uses the swing, the bumbo, floor gym and exersaucer. Not sure if I want to trade any of these out yet. Although, I do think the bumbo will go soon, but it's not big and taking up much space.

Re: What big toys does LO use?

  • This is the biggest toy he has that still gets used on a daily basis:

We have a portable swing that folds up when its not being used (although I'm trying to get him out of that and into his crib for naps), the bumbo didn't last very long (he didn't like it) and the floor mat was null and void when he learned how to roll over.

We do keep the PNP up in the living room, which takes up a lot of space.  It doubles as a toy box for us.  LOL

  • My DS hasn't used the swing or bouncer in a few months so luckily those are away.

He still uses the exersaucer and jumperoo, but not super often (not as much as my DD did!) because he prefers to be on the move.  He's started pulling up on the outside of these things and playing with the toys that way instead.   We still have our bumbo out because we put it on our coffee table and feed him in that at the same time my DD is eating.  We'll be getting her a cooshie booster and will move him to the high chair and get rid of the bumbo.

  • We don't use the Bumbo, or the play mat anymore. The swing really should go but I keep thinking he may use it.  The exersaucer is a HIT and that's about it right now.  He loves just sitting and playing now.

  • All that is out is our jumperoo, which DD loves, and a basket full of small toys- this is in the family room.

  • We have a SMALL condo so we only have room for a jumper.  Literally no room for a toy box, all her toys are on a foam play mat.  I'd have to get rid of her glider if we wanted to put a toy box in her room....that or end up blocking the closet or a bookshelf with it.  I'm so sick of our small house!
  • Have you checked the weight limit on your swing? I know by now, a lot of the bambinos I know have passed the weight limit.

We only have the jumperoo out. We also have a swing, but DH tries to tip herself forward in it, so it is put away.

  • We don't use anymore : swing, playmat, bouncy seat

We do use : exersaucer, foam play mat, bumbo

  • Don't use anymore: Playmat, swing, bouncy seat

Occasionally use but aren't out always: Bumbo, exersaucer (very very rarely)

She is in a jumperoo at daycare a lot, but at home she's usually just on the floor with some little toys

  • We have retired the swing, bouncy, bumbo, activity mat, and I think the Jumperoo's days are limited. The walker is the thing now!!

  • Of the ones you listed, none of them are being used anymore. He doesn't want to be contained anymore. The toy that gets the most use is his Leap Frog music table.
  • We still use the swing for naps :(, but it's in his room. In the living room, the only big things out are the jumperoo and walker (buy that is usually kept in the dining room. He doesn't use that a lot yet b/c even at the lowest setting his toes are barely hitting the floor lol

  • Retired: Swing, bouncy chair, play mat, bumbo.

In use: Foam play mat, jumperoo, & exersaucer.
