Lip Sucking?

MY DD has started sucking on her lips. Not constantly, but every once in a while. It happens at various times during the day, including after she's had a bottle, and stopped because she was full (so I don't know that the sucking means she's hungry).

Just wondering if anyone else's LO does this, and do you know what it means? Maybe she's just feeling what her lips feel like for the first time?

    My DD has been doing the same thing for the past few weeks. It's really cute and silly...

    There have been times when she did it when she was hungry...after she ate...while playing with toys...

    In the case of my DD, I think she was just trying out her lips and noticing what sounds she could make with them.

    My ds sucks on his bottom lip all the time, I think he's just looking for something to suck on.  He'll take a paci sometimes.  He's at that phase where if you hand him anything it usually goes straight to his mouth.

    My DD is doing this now too.  I think it's just something she's discovered and trying out.

    DS does this too.  Sometimes it's bc he's hungry (sucking on the upper lip).  Sometimes it's bc he's taking it all in (sucking on lower lip).  Sometimes I have no idea why he does it :)

    He puts things TO his mouth, but not nec IN his mouth.  He hates pacis & doesn't really suck on his hands/fingers/toys.  No teeth yet either.

    My DD does this all the time!  Especially when she sleeps.  She doesn't take a paci to bed and I think she just likes something to suck on.  I'm surprised she doesn't wake herself up somtimes because she's so loud!  She does it all day and I don't take it as a sign she's hungry.  She does other things to tell me she's hungry.
