  • I like James because it goes with your son Jack I like siblings with the same letter I have a daughter and her name is Myranda and I'm pregnant again so I'm going to try to name my second child with the same letter as my daughter.
  • Love Oliver!

  • I was all set to say James until I saw your first DS' name is Jack. I guess for you I would go with Oliver. (I'm not into sibling names that are matchy-matchy.)

  • I like them both... but I would stray from giving both your sons "J" names... Very Duggar.

Oliver James is a lovely name. =)

  • James definitely James
  • James because it isn't as common as Oliver any more and it's a really good, solid name. :)

  • I like both of those names. I like matchy sibling names so I would vote James. But Oliver James sounds good together too.

  • I like both, but I'd go with Oliver just because I wouldn't want to get lured into all "J" names.
  • I like James better, but it's waaaayy too matchy with Jack. Go with Oliver.

  • I like both names.  My caution on Oliver, though, is the nn of "Ollie".  I had Oliver on my short list, but the possible nn of "Ollie" took it off. Especially after I saw a movie where a little boy was called exactly that.  Blech,

However, I also dont' like the matchy-matchness of "James and Jack".  Also, James seems so formal next to Jack.  The same could be said of Oliver, though!

All in all, I don't think you can really go wrong w/ either name.

  • I actually love the nn Ollie, it is very British, so I would do Oliver James.

  • Love the name Oliver. I had a friend in high school from England named Oliver, and I have client whose 3 year old son is named Oliver.  So classic but not overly popular.

I know so many James that I couldn't even begin to count.  Way over done.
