Yesterday, on 8/28, I had an emercency c-section at 26wks 2ds. Baby A (Cynthia Paige) was born at 8:11pm, weighing 1lb 7oz and 13 in long, and Baby B (Gabriella Catherine) was born at 8:12pm, weighing 2lbs 3.5oz and 13.5 in long. Unfortunately, Baby Ella only lived for about 10 or 15 minutes. My husband got to be with her while she took her last breath.
The diagnosis ended up being TTTS, with Baby B getting more blood. However, she also bright spots on her brain and fluid around her liver. Those caused her to have a swollen abdomin, and head. She also had a "true knot" about 2 inches from the placenta. None of those things were there on Tuesday when I went in. It happened so fast!
Cynthia is doing ok, right now. They have her on a ventilator, but she's only getting 35bpm and they have her on 45% O2 saturation. She's breathing on her own around the vent, so that's good. She's also very lively. She grabs my finger when I give it to her, and she's tried to pull her breathing tube out. She's beautiful. My beautiful Thia. Ella was beautiful, too.
Anyway, sorry this turned so long. My family and I can use all the prayers you can send to us right now.
