I LOVE the name Maurice! I was just thinking about how this name doesn't get much love any more. Anyway, names are a natural obsession for a lot of people. Heck, I'm on here, and I already named my kid.
Amelia was on my short list for this baby had he been a girl. Grace is my DD's middle name. (FWIW, Grace doesn't get much love on this board because it is the "Marie" of the new millenium... I tend to agree but think that in the scheme of baby naming faux pas it is pretty safe )
I like the name Jackson. I think it is a teeny bit overdone right now but it is still a solid name. I have no real feelings (positive or negative) toward Maurice. NMS but a respectable name.
Jackson is WAY overdone right now, along with Jack, Jaxon, Jaxton, Jaxtin, Jaxson. (My kid is named Jack. Please just trust me on this one.)
Maurice will probably be mispronounced most of the time. I hate the name Maurice but LOVE when it is pronounced Morris. There is a book/movie by E.M. Forster by this name/pronounciation and it just sounds so romantic to me.
I love both combos you have here! I love Jackson Maurice. Very nice! And Amelia Grace is simply sweet. My only problem is that Grace is a really common middle name, but it does sound very nice!
I don't think it's ever too early to start thinking about names! The only problem with it is that you have to keep the names a secret for a longer period of time, and you could be tempted to share them- but don't!
Amelia Grace & Jackson Maurice
I understand why you like these names. They flow really well together.
Since you seem like you are just starting out, I wonder if you have been to the Social Security Administration website yet. It tells you all of the most popular baby names throughout the US.
I would guess from the names in your post that popularity doesn't bother you. But it could just be that you are somewhat new to this, so I feel I should inform you that Jackson and Amelia are two of the most popular first names in America. And Grace is probably the most popular middle name in America.
I suggest any time you think of a new name for your list, you go to the SSA website, and look up it's popularity over the last 130 years (1880-2009). This way you can see if it's a traditional or trendy name, and find out the most popular spelling. You can decide on your own how popular is "too popular" for yourself. (My personal cutoff is 200).
On the right hand side of the screen, it says "Popularity of a Name".
For "Number of Years" enter 130 (that's as far back as it goes)
Don't select a gender. It will automatically go to whichever is most used. If it comes up with the wrong gender, you may want to rethink that name.
Then, of course, enter the name in the "Name" field.
Click "Go"
Good luck, and be sure to let us know when you come up with a short list. OH, and feel free to do a Clicky Poll (see instructions in my signature). You will get a LOT more votes that way!

This. I am a teacher and I know a handful of Amelia's (younger siblings to my 5yo's) and two of them are Amelia Grace.

Good choices!
You have great taste in names.
DH's great uncle is named Maurice (only his is pronounced mor-EES); I like him and I like the name, especially as a MN.

I LOVE Amelia.
Jackson is ok, a little on the trendy side, but it's an okay name.

Here's how to do it:
Go to https://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/
Scroll down to the bottom of the page
On the right hand side of the screen, it says "Popularity of a Name".
For "Number of Years" enter 130 (that's as far back as it goes)
Don't select a gender. It will automatically go to whichever is most used. If it comes up with the wrong gender, you may want to rethink that name.
