Who else has a hand muncher?

DD discovered her hands about a week or two ago and nonstop chews on them! She prefers them over a paci! She gets drool and spit everywhere then flails and gets her slobber on everything else plus myself.. *le sigh*

I'm assuming this is a sign of helping her teeth as well unless shes trying to suck on her thumb/fingers and just hasnt mastered it..

DS ALWAYS has his fist/fingers in his mouth. I take them out and put a paci in but he prefers his hands. It was really bad the past couple weeks, but he's eased up the past few days.

My DD does this too. The other day she was making herself gag because she was sticking her whole fist in her mouth. She'd much rather have her hand than any of her toys or pacifiers.

mine too! she has her hand in her mouth NON stop! ill hear her gagging because of her putting her entire fist in her mouth! i just tried giving her a cold rag but she went right back to the hand. its been going on for weeks, just within the last day or 2 its started being just her thumb. so now we have a thumb sucker!

Yep! I can always tell when she wakes up in the morning because I can hear her slurping on that fist. She tries to get the whole thing in her mouth. And lately she's started chewing on her index finger. I think she's preteething because she does the same thing with her soothie.

DS is always trying to put BOTH of his hands in his mouth. He can't decide which one he wants more. And sometimes he wants his hands and the paci.

And I thought my LO was the only one gagging herself! Glad we aren't alone in that.

She hates all pacis now except the soothie and she'll only take it sometimes. She tends to nom on pacis now like they are teethers.

DS sucks on his left thumb, as well as his entire right hand. lol. It is pretty darn cute. He has been doing this for awhile, and so far there are no sings of teeth..but as you said, the drool is quite prolific!

This. DD on occasion will make herself spitup she's jammed them so far down her throat. And she makes the loudest smacking sounds when she's eating them...must be tasty

Since 2.5 months it has been non stop. At night she sucks to soothe herself to sleep, but during the day she's chewing. I can't imagine it feels good - I let her chew on my knuckle if she finds it and she bit hard enough to make it crack the other day!

O has been gnawing/sucking on his hands for a month (at least). He has been sucking on his index finger as well. He makes the loudest slurping noises ever! It makes me laugh.
