Hey hon!  I just saw on a post on IF where you have United Healthcare, and that is what I have as well.

Did they end up paying for any of your testing for IVF?  They have all the testing through my current RE so far and u/s but I am wondering when we switch over to an IVF only clinic and they see charges coming in during an IVF cycle if they will pay anything.  I don't care about the u/s because that is included in my package but pre-testing is not.

Baby B's heart stop beating at 9 weeks 5 days
Our little miracle baby is a boy. :)

Baby Boy Owen and Baby Girl Avery were born too early on Feb. 13, 2011 due to a pedunculated fibroid, incompetent cervix and suspected placental abruption.

    My clinic isn't IVF only, so I am not sure if that makes a difference.  But, so far, they have paid for most of the testing.  There have been a few tests for which they wouldn't pay (NKa and RIP).  I am also not sure if they are going to pay for the RPL testing since I haven't had repeated losses.  Additionally, there have been quite a few tests that have gone to my deductible (like the SHG).   

    Are there any tests in particular that you are wondering about?

    ~SAIF/PAIF/Everyone Welcome~ 

    Me= 37 and DH = 41 

    Dx: DOR, Endo, APA+ (really high beta 2 glycoprotein antibody and high everything else tested), heterozygous MTHFR mutation, positive for lupus anticoagulant, high FSH, low AMH and both tubes blocked (per HSG on 3/8/11)

    IVF #1 - long lupron (with HGH, intralipids, lovenox and BA); 4 retrieved, 3 fertilized; ET 2 blasts and 1 frozen = BFN

    IVF #2 - a version of antagonist with EPP (with HGH, intralipids, lovenox and BA); 6 retrieved, 4 mature, 3 fertilized, 2 blasts and 1 frozen blast transferred on day 5 = BFN.

    IVF #3 April was postponed to May, May was canceled. June/July was canceled. Had a cyst aspiration and then began IVF #3 in August. ER on 8/22; ET on 8/24 with AH. +HPT on 9/5. Beta #1 (11dpo) = 3; Beta #2 (15dpo) = 29; Beta #3 (17dpo) = 60; Beta #4 (19 dpo) = 118. Heartbeat at 6 weeks 6 days =132.  Lil is here!

    TTC#2:  Trigger + TI = BFN; Clomid + Trigger + IUI = BFN.

    IVF #4:  BCP + MDLF + Lovenox = 7R, 1F = Transferred 1 6-cell embryo on day 3 = BFN

    IVF #5:  MDLF + Lovenox = 4R, 1F = Transferred 1 10-cell compacting embryo on day 3 = BFN

    IVF #6:  (New RE):  Long Antagonist November 2014 (transferred two 8 cell grade 1 embryos and froze one blast) = BFN

    FET#1:  BFN

    Well he said most of my tests that I have had will not be need to be repeated but I will need to be tested for cystic fibrosis and MTHFR which needs to be sent to a special lab in Chicago.  I am wondering if they are going to pay for those two in particular because they are pretty $$$.

     

    Just trying to figure out exactly how much money we need to get together in the next few weeks if we are going to this.  Tongue Tied

    I didn't have cystic fibrosis testing (it isn't in my family or MH's family so we were told it wasn't necessary).  MTHFR testing was part of the RPL panel.  I haven't been able to get United to tell me if they will cover it or not.  If they don't cover the RPL panel, Lab Corp said it would cost $2,700.  I am really hoping they cover it (at least part of it).

    Yeah my guess is we will have the RPL panel done too and with my PCOS my doc requires it be done before starting a cycle.  We are opting to do the CF because we are both Caucasian and the chances are just a little too high for me but I might reconsider that one.

    We are looking at about $4k if United doesn't pay.  I will keep my fingers crossed for both of us that they do!

    I will let you know when I find out.  I had the blood drawn for the RPL panel more than a week ago.  So, hopefully, they will post a claim soon.  I tried checking on United's website again this evening.  But, for some reason, they aren't showing any of my claims.  It says I need to call customer service.  

    I called customer service the day of my blood draw (it was the day after my RE told me he wanted me to do the RPL panel) and I got the run around.  I finally spoke to someone that took down the test codes and said she would call me back the next day.  I never heard back.  I am probably going to need to call them again.  

    ETA - My fingers are also crossed for both of us.
