DH making dinner ends up in me eating pancakes (vent)

He spent two days researching pulled pork recipes. He made a HUGE mess in the kitchen last night preparing all the ingredients for a 5lb pork shoulder.I kept asking if he needed help. He kept saying nope. This morning he turned the slow cooker on and told me to leave it alone. I did. At 7 pm some his friends came over to watch the dolphin's game and eat. Well at 11 pm the stupid pork STILL wasn't cooked through. He then asks me what I plan on making everyone for dinner. I laughed. So my dinner consisted of pancakes. At midnight. aaaagggghhh

  • Oh geesh...some people are just not blessed with any type of culinary skills.  But, really you can't be mad after eating pancakes, they're just awesome!!

No he just decided to more than double the amount of meat the recipe called for. Somehow that made sense to him. Huh?

I am sorry M. That stinks. I had pancakes for dinner too, though, and they were tasty. :D Yay pancakes!

  • Well, he gets SOME points for trying!

No matter how many times my DH has watched me cook dinner he still has no idea how to make anything (even simple stuff like frying up a chicken breast).  Some guys just don't get it.

He once cooked pork chops in soy sauce and ranch dressing. It was GROSS

    Ick!

When we got back from the hospital after I had Claire, he looked at me and asked, "What's for dinner?" I told him to look in the freezer (which I had stocked with chicken breasts, pork chops, spaghetti sauce and casseroles) and told him to figure it out for himself.

He ended up ordering pizza because he had no idea what to do with anything.  Seriously.  He couldn't even figure out how to defrost a casserole.
