Do any of you out there have Hypothyroidism that fluctuated after you had your loss? Did it play any affect on when AF would come? Any advise is appreciated.
After my second loss my doctor ran some tests and found that I do have Hypothyroidism. It never had any affect on my AF but my doctor said it can. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

I was dx with it right after my first pregnancy. They said I didn't have to take it just before my loss. Never followed up on it but now I'm wondering if I need to have it checked again.
Well I have had it for a couple years. My levels were just a roller coaster ride for the first year because my primary care dr didn't know how to prescribe the medicine. If any of you find out you do have it for sure, you def need to see an endo because they know a lot more about it and how to tweek your dosage just enough. After I had normal levels for two months I got pregnant with my first. Since my loss my level has gone lower so I need to wait until it is normal again probably for AF to be normal because trust me, it does mess up your cycles and your whole body!! Good Luck to all of you as well!
I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism after I had my second stillborn my pcp had to raise the dosage on my synthroid and its been fluctuating since. I take synthroid and my pcp told when ttc its important to get tested more often to be sure my levels are right. My doctor told me that when it fluctuates it can halt ovulation. Here's a link my friend sent me she has hypothyroidism and she said it effected her AF
I had been hypothyroid for years (maybe 10) but for the last year and
a half or so my levels had been coming back as Hyperthyroid. The doctor
suspected I was being over-medicated so we kept cutting my dose, but
eventually it got to the point where I was taking a pill every three
days and so I'd start to forget to take it. Three weeks before my BFP,
she had me stop taking the meds altogether and right around the same
time I got my BFP, my thryoid levels came back as being definitely hyper
(low TSH, high T4 and T3 levels).
I was referred to an
endocrinologist who I saw this week and who ordered more bloodwork - and
everything came back as being in the high-end of normal. She told me
pregnancy can affect your thyroid function, and your thyroid function
definitely affects your pregnancy. She's not sure what the cause was for me.
As for AF - my cycles have been getting closer and closer to the 'normal' range recently. I again have no idea if this is because I'm no longer hypo or not, but I'll take it. I know uncontrolled HYPO can play a role in delaying cycles.
Good luck getting everything figured out. Fingers are crossed for you.

My doctor is testing my thyroid next month. I really don't have an answer for you, but I will be stalking the post to see what everyone says!
