  I like Livia on it's own, although yes most people will think it's missing an O. What about Lavinia?

  Too close to Libia and Bolivia for my liking. Also, despite being a venerable Latin name it looks to be just another variation of Olivia.

  What about Lavinia? I don't like it much myself, but it's definitely unique while still sounding similar to Olivia?Livia.

  I have a friend with an Alivia. They even call her Ali for short.

  I think it's a beautiful name. It's too bad it means "envious"...it was also Tony's mother's name on the HBO show The Sopranos (another strike against it).

  But it's on our list. I like it much better than Olivia.

  If you plan to pronounce it correctly (LEE-vee-uh) then I think it's okay. Otherwise it just looks and sounds like you're truncating Olivia.

  I would think that you liked Olivia better, but it was too popular for you, so you tried to change it, but failed because she will still just blend in with all the Olivias on the playground.
