we can brag on ourselves all day, obviously, because some of us are super moms
but what do you suck at?
me - cooking. really. 1. i dont care enough 2. the kids dont usually like it. 3. sawyer cant have any dairy so that limits stuff when aidan loves things with cheese. 4. if dh is home late, he rarely will eat whats left so its, like, me... eating it... bc i cooked it.
so im basically a short order cook. and im okay with that
everyone gets what they want. hopefully that will change later, but for now... eh...
Re: what is something you suck at?
being productive instead of being on TB?
Making decisions- right now I'm scared of applying to grad schools and deciding where to go. It could mean moving out of state and so far from family.
keeping a job. enough said. I can't stand corporate b.s. and stupid rules. I went to college to learn shiit so let me self-govern a *tiny* bit.
I also suck at cooking. Luckily, my DH loves to cook and gets home before me.
I suck at doing things in a timely manner. I have such good intentions, but real life always kicks me in the @ss - if we are friends, I'll send you a birthday card like a month late. There's a new baby gift in my car for friends...it has been sitting there every day for 2 weeks, but I just haven't made it to the post office. My daily life just always gets in the way.
Happy Birthday, little man. We love you so much!

I really suck at thawing meat in the microwave. I ALWAYS end up cooking at least part of it. If I don't remember to thaw it overnight then I make DH do it in the microwave for me.
I also have a hard time with loading the dishwasher. I load it and think I've done a good job utilizing all of the space but then DH comes behind me and rearranges the whole thing and can ge twice as much stuff in there.
anything remotely crafty - sewing (haven't thread a needle since 7th grade home ec), drawing, paper projects, basically making anything.
I am crafty in the kitchen if that counts.
I love these replies!
I would say cooking too. I can do it, its edible...but really, DH is just so much better at it.
And I suck at video games. I didn't grow up with them, they weren't allowed in our house (I really think it was more that my parents couldn't afford them!) so I'm just no good at them.
Erm, letting things go.
I have a tendency to hold on to really minute things, forever. I have a really good memory, but I also have a good imagination, so I'll often build something really tiny up in my head until it's huge. Then, I get super upset about it, and people think I am BSC.
I promise I'm not. BSC, that is. : Okay, maybe a little BSC. But I'm trying!
electronics----you would think I was 72 how I can't figure out IPODs, twitter, cameras, cell phones.....you name it I probably don't have a clue how to work it
starting something and finishing it----I've been off of my ADHD meds for emmmmm 6 months now and I'm going nuts! Dr said I can't be on it and breastfeed and then I had to go off 2 months before the baby was born so it wouldn't be in his cord so now I'm all over the place.
being nice to ILs-----i've tried and it's impossible, they get on my nerves
I was never very good at spelling! I'm not sure why, since I was a good student. Now that spell check is everywhere you turn, I just use that instead of even trying.I have been known to change entire sentences to avoid using a word I cant spell.
Apparently I suck at not being lazy also!
This.
Doesn't help that pumpkin muffin season is upon us, or that my supply dipped last week (thank God for stash, and that it bounced back this week).
A domestic mama I am not. I suck at cooking and cleaning but H is no better. Anytime I try and cook about half of the meal is burnt beyond recognition. If I cook I usually take it to work for leftovers but H will only poke at it with a stick from across the room.
Cleaning...I don't get how some moms have time to do anything except work, play with their baby and be elbow deep in poo. After DS is asleep I usually crash for the night.

Hmmm, there are several things I suck at:
Gardening/Keeping any plant alive
Cleaning
Being a good wife
Being crafty/creative
There are more I'm sure! Luckily I'm good at a bunch of stuff, otherwise this list would be uber-depressing.
This made me laugh. It used to hurt my feelings that I'd put SO much effort into trying to cook & DH would say it was gross. Now I've just accepted that I suck at it so I don't even bother.

Same here. I am diabetic and was on a VERY strict diet during pregnancy. I only managed to obey the dieting rules for the sake of my sweet boy. And I did very well, too. I gained less that 20 lbs through my pregnancy.
However, I've managed to pack on 15 freaking lbs since he was born 5 months ago. I blame it on the fact that my carbs were so limited & I could not have ANY sweets whatsoever for 9 months. And I just can't seem to break the bad food habits I've created since having him.
I really ashamed of myself.
I suck at clipping DS's nails. I cannot do it... I freak out. I make DH do it every time.
you are not alone my friend
I also suck at organization, i am a clutterbug
This! I was thinking the same thing!
I am fairly creative and can think of good ideas (worked in the marketing field before SAH) but cannot seem to find my crafty side. I bought these white wood letters that spell LO's name and thought I would paint them or do something cool to them before hanging them in her room. I just could not figure out what to do with them, so they are sitting in a drawer just waiting to be loved on!
I'd love to be more crafty so that when LO is older we can do fun projects together and made things. I guess that is what books are for. For me, it's going to be a learned skill, not one that comes naturally!
Remembering people's names IRL.

Oh, some of you mentioned such good things!
I also suck at defrosting meat in the microwave! It is a huge FAIL every.single.time.
I suck at starting conversations too. I always feel so awkward if I don't know the person well.
Happy Birthday, little man. We love you so much!

Math. Any kind of math. I still count on my fingers a majority of the time...
Laundry. I always forget to move it from the washer to the dryer, and then wind up having to rewash it all so it doesn't smell like mildew.
Sports
I am very petite with short legs. So I can't run super fast, I can't play defense in just about any sport, I can't throw and I can't catch and I don't have good coordination.
I have always stuck to Individual sports because I got picked last for team sports.
Totally this...I'm not good at forgive and forget. My high school BF cheated on me over TEN YEARS AGO, and every time I think of him or run into him, I still want to punch him in the throat.
I also suck at ironing (my iron was unopened for two years until H moved in with me and needed to use it) and folding shirts.
Oh, and I am unable to keep my mind from wandering to the "worst case scenario" - for instance, if H hasn't called me all day, I convince myself that it's because he's been in a horrible accident or something (BSC, I know)...
cooking...god i hate it and i hope i NEVER get good at it
Math....seriously....like im probably the worst ever at math. And I was a banker...heh go figure.
Drawing - I get this wonderful picture in my head, but can't get it onto paper for the life of me.
I'm also embarrassingly bad at simple math.

I suck at the "scrubbing" cleaning. And DH lets me know about it constantly. I don't think it's fair - I don't repeatedly "remind" him of how bad he is at "organizing" cleaning or finances...
I also suck at letting things go - I want a resolution before the conversation ends, otherwise I don't think the conversation should be over.
Couponing...is that even a word? I can cut them out all day long, then I totally forget about them and they end up cluttering up my wallet.
Getting things done...But I am fantastic at procrastinating!
