What do you think of the nae Dakota Skye for a little girl? SO and I just watched a movie and that was the main characters name and I fell in love with it. Opinions?

NMS. It's a little too theme-y (earth & sky, you know?) for me. Also, it sounds like a stripper's name.

It's NMS but the flow is nice...I have a little boy in my class named Dakota Austin. He gets called Kota all the time.

I know it's used as a name in this country, but it's kind of like naming your child Mandarin, Japanese or French. Combine that gaffe with it's lovely "stripperesque" quality and it's hippie side and I strongly think you should choose something else.

I love Skye - especially for a middle name. Dakota is NMS but I don't mind it too much.

I think it's cute, but you are a young so I think people more so from "our generation" are more open to hippie/nature-ish names. But remember it's your baby girl so you have to make this decision, don't let a lot of ppl make your mind for you.

Dakota is different - not bad.....just nms. The only Skye I have ever know was my brother's dog. For some reason it doesn't seem like a "real" name to me. Or at least for a human.
