Ya, DS slowed down around 6m when he started sitting up solo and has really slowed down since getting on all fours/crawling/"worming". I was worried about growth, as he was gaining 2lbs every 2-3 weeks-I was on track to have a 30lb 1yo! But movement slows things down, harder to keep on the weight once they're more mobile.
wow, that's tall! I have a tall baby too and I find Carters makes good clothes for tall babies. He'll slow down, don't worry - either that or I can say "I know her!" when I see you on the next Discovery Health special
I dunno but one of DH's friend's baby was in 18 month clothes at 6 months! He is going to be 1 next month and I know back when he was about 8/9 months he was already 28lbs!!!

A Butterfly lies beside us
like a sunbeam
and for a brief moment,
its beauty and glory
belong to our world.
But then it flies on again.
And though we wish it could have stayed
we feel so lucky to have seen it.
In loving memory of MrsTyson's precious Julia.
He'll slow down around 6 months. DS was wearing 12 month stuff around 5 months and then he started wearing 18 month stuff around 8 months and it still fits him well. We find that gymboree runs bigger than most other brands and he can still wear some of their 6-12 month stuff. We have 12-18 month ready but it is mostly long sleeve and pants so we're holding out with cheaper carters in the meantime and he's in 18 months. We have 24 month and 2T sleepers ready in his drawer though. But yeah, they do slow once they get more mobile and active. But even with the slow down, he's still a big baby.
And if I remember correctly, your little guy is pretty long. Even the length will slow though so hang in there. How big is he now?
After 2 m/cs, dx October 2008 with hetero factor v leiden & mthfr & low progesterone; third time was the charm - BFP 3/19/09 on first cycle of clomid.
Oh, and most clothing that says 9 months is really 6-9 months. And they are sized to fit a baby in the 50th percentile. So your baby will definitely be at least a size a head for a while, if not two sizes.

Ha! Thank you for making me laugh.
He's in the 9 month Carter's clothes, except for the sleepers, where he's in the 12s. I love Carters.... so cute....

He's at least 31 or 32 inches long these days; he was 29" at his 4
month appointment and he's grown at least 2 more inches by the changing
table.
He weighs 21 pounds, at the 97th percentile or something, but he's WAY off the charts for height. He also wears a size 4 shoe....guess he takes after his Daddy's size 15 1/2!
Yeah, he's tall. I think he is the tallest baby on PAL. Dylan was like 23 pounds at his 6 month and has only gained about 2 or 3 in the next 3 months. So hopefully you'll see some slow down soon too. Oh, and I've been buying some 2T. It's a few inches longer and wider than the 24 months. I may just try to skip 24 months in Carters. It's really not much longer than the 18 months and then so close in size to 2T. So sad that our boys are in 2T before 1.
