Trouble TTC

More pregnancy announcements on fb...

A girl I graduated high school with just announced her THIRD pregnancy. With a note of how they are so blessed and feel so fortunate that God has done this for them.

I know it's ridiculous but it makes me feel like why won't God do it for me?

Ugh.

Re: More pregnancy announcements on fb...

  • I often feel the same way.  I was in church this morning and came across Ecclesiastes 3 which is called "A Time for Everything".  We just have to trust that when God knows it is the right time, it will happen.

  • I feel the same way. My cousin's wife just had a baby on Friday, although I'm happy for them, I can't help but get a little sad that it's not me. Hang in there.

  • I don't know your religious views, but sometimes I don't think God really has much to do with these things.

  • Yeah I should have clarified that..

I wasn't meaning to say that we are overly religious at all. I mean, we are to a point, but I am not above knowing that this isn't all in God's hands. I know that sometimes you need a little 'help'.

I just meant that when it happens for someone so quickly, it is easy for them to take the 'God has a plan' road.

  • It'll happen. *hugs* Sometimes it helps me to look at all the things I am thankful for and are going right in my life when I see an announcement.  Hang in there!

Yeah, that's what I was getting at too. It's a lot easier to sit back and say "God's plan" when everything goes as we hoped.

But I agree, it feels like a slap in the face. "Why aren't I so favorable?"

The reason I feel God really has much to do with these things ... having sex is how you get pregnant and a WHOLE LOT of people don't think about the results of sex... but yet they end up pregnant (suprise!!!) and either have no desire to have children, already have a brood or won't care for them properly.

    Not bitter. Just realistic!
