Choir practice update

I promise not to be a PW like last night, so I'll quit after this update.

Choir practice was intense.  The songs we are singing at tomorrow's church service are well-known to most of the choir.  I think there are only about 10 new people in a choir of 70 people.  The individual parts (generally) were not played, so I had to sing quietly to hear what everyone else was singing and focus carefully on the music.  We practiced for two hours today and will practice for another two hours tomorrow morning.  Then, we will sing at the church service--without music.  Somehow, I'm supposed to know the words to 4 songs by then.  Oy.  I'm afraid I'm going to be doing some lip-syncing.

After practice, we had a party.  I didn't want to go, but the director was insistent that everyone attend.  I felt terribly awkward.  A few of the kids talked to me, but I'm having a bit of a cuture-shock being on the same level as people 10 years younger than me.  (Particularly since I'm used to teaching them).  They didn't believe that I'm almost 30...lol.  I didn't stay very long, but I made an appearance.

After the party, I went over to a 30-something friend's house and drank wine.  Ahhh, that's much better
