I read in Super Baby Foods that you should introduce water when you introduce solids to help out the new work load that is placed on the kidneys, but Hayden's pedi didn't say anything about this when we talked foods today. (Surprisingly, he didn't say much at all about it
)
What do you think?
Re: Water with intro of solids?
I have heard of people introducing a sippy with water when they introduce solids, but I'm not sure of the reasoning. I always assumed it was so they could start practicing with a sippy, but maybe they really need water?
I have so much to learn.
K's pedi reccommnded offering her water to start to reduce the strain on the kidneys and for practice drinking water and using a sippy.
This.
