Judy/Judi/Judith

My hubby won't go for it, but after reading Pat the Bunny to my daughter, I thought for a second, wouldn't that be an adorable name on a little girl? (In the book there's a little girl named Judy -it's an older book. I also know a woman whose name is Judi.)

    2 kiddos (DS is almost 4, DD is 19 months) and a puggle named Regan.
    3 losses (1/6/2010 at 9.5 weeks, 3/21/2012 at 12.5 weeks, 7/31/2012 at 5 weeks)

    Judy Bloom is the first thing that came to mind. Judge Judy is next.

    I work with a Judith (goes by Judi), but I think I'd like to see this name on a LO again...it needs a new face. It's a good solid, biblical name too...not too out there, but only 769 and falling on SSA Names. (Judy and Judi aren' even there).

    ETA: Oh, and Judy Garland...but I like Judith in its full form.

    I really like Judith, but I can't like Judy for some reason--I can't conceive of using Judith because of the diminutive, but I agree, it deserves more popularity!

    I love it...it was on my short list for number two until I thought about how stupid Judith and Edith would sound together.  I don't do the matchy matchy.

    Ugh, I don't like it at all.  It seems kind of 50s/60s to me.  In 30 years, it'll probably be super popular again, though.

    I don't think it would be too matchy at all. Especially considering Judith would likely go by Judi or Judy. BTW, I LOVE the name Edith!!! It's good to see someone using that name. :)

    Oh, it was just a random thought. My #1 is Lucy. I'd LOVE to be able to use Lucy Eleanor, but hubby said, "It sounds too old fashioned to me." Our daughter's first name is a Biblical name, semi-common, but middle name is Daisy. What?!

    my sister's name is Judith...and she's 20....NEVER went by Judy...sometimes Jude as a nn

    we are using Judith as a mn after her and my aunt :)  I love it!
