Isla is on the top of our list if we have a girl next...we go back and forth about whther to spell it with an "A" or an "I". I like the traditional spelling with the "I" but DH thinks that people will have an easier time pronouncing it with an "A"...his name also starts with an "A" so he likes that idea. I do like the name either way though.
i don't like kayla and i think ayla is going to be mispronounced and misspelled forever. it sounds and looks very made up. it looks like she didn't know how to spell isla.

My Israeli accupuncturist is named this, so I just think of it as a traditional Hebrew name. Nameberry agrees with me: https://nameberry.com/babyname/AYLA
