So often I hear from mom's that at month 4, things started to get much better and the PPA & PPD alleviated.
Yes, it does but it doesn't completely disappear for everyone. Some of us go into month 9, 10, even past the first birthday still feeling bewildered and overwhelmed.
It took our bodies 9 months to produce a brand new human being, it's going to take a lot longer than that to become acclimated to the new person and way of life that is motherhood.
Be easy on yourself and know that every day is a new challenge that is to be met with ease and support for yourself as you try to do the best for your baby and for yourself.
Just because your PPA &PPD has not "magically disappeared" by month 5 does not mean that your will not get a handle on your body chemistry, hormones, thoughts, moods and feelings in due time.
Acceptance that your not the same as everyone else and that your body and mind is very unique should alleviate some pressure for having to feel "better" by a certain benchmark.
Relax and Accept.
Breathe and Believe.
