Why does DD suck on her arm

all the time? She does it when she's not eating, when i'm trying to burp her in the middle of eating, when she's done eating... 

She wont take a paci either (and i've tried the hospital soothie, Mam pacis, and Nuk pacis...) I'm going to try the Nuk ones again cause the only other time she took it, that's which one it was...

    My dd has started to suck on her hands constantly. I dont know why but she's been really gassy the past few days and I think she is doing it for comfort. She will take a paci as well but the second it falls out she frantically trys to get her entire fist in her little mouth.

    Because she can.  It has nothing to do with taking a paci or not.  It's near her mouth so it mkaes sense to her.

    Ean sucks on anything he can get in his mouth. I'm serious. But he does like his paci. Have you tried a latex Nuk? My nephew wasn't crazy about the silicone Nuk, but loves his latex ones.

    DS will put anything in his mouth that is within reach.  He now grabs for MY arm and tries to suck on it.  I think our DCs are just curious :)

    lol DS does this ALL the time. He is always covered in drool. Won't take a paci either.

    My DS is constantly sucking on his hands. We call it "pork chops" because it sounds like he's eating pork chops when you hear it on the monitor. :)

    DD does that all the time, she's even given herself a few lovely hickeys! At first I thought they were bruises and I freaked out, until I realized what they were! ;)
