Alright, we can't decide...I am leaning one way and my hubby is leaning the other...we would love some input! Luckily we agree with the girl name we picked out...but the boy name is giving us a hard time.
I like Finley more than Broden (but I think Brody James would be a nice alternative). Finley does sound a little feminine to me though -- I know it's traditionally male but it still has a flowy/fluffy sound about it IMO.
Our girl choice is Evalee Grace...which we are in love with...I'm just really not sure about either name...Finley sounds a little feminine to me too...the good news is we have lots of time!

Pretty! Just say Finley & Broden for a while in normal conversation. My DH loved the name Claire, and I wasn't really a fan. But to give it a chance, we started using the name like she was already here when we talked about her (tried it with a few other names too) like we called one of the spare bedrooms Claire's room...."Honey, have you seen the vacuum?" "Yes, I left it in Claire's room". It seriously grew on me..I started to think of it as my daugther, and not just a pretty name. Haha so I probably tricked myself into liking it, but now I love it! Try it for a while with both names and see which one feels more natural to you.
Which sounds best with your last name? Since they are very different sounding (one ends in "EN" and one ends in "LEY") that can flow differently with the last name. leave out the James and just say the first and last name and see which clicks for you.
If you like both, maybe finding out the meaning of the names could sway your choice.
Both are great though, I don't think you can go wrong. :-)
Thanks, you're sweet. I really like that Broden means "from the castle." My husband likes Finley more...maybe we will end up going back to the drawing board. Thanks for your help!

I would do Brody James then Finley or how about Braden?
Re: our top two choices for a boy
I like Finley James better.
I am not a fan of Broden although I don't mind Brody.
I think Finley James is cute, although I have trouble picturing an adult with this name. But of the two, this would be my choice.
Broden is really NMS; it sounds made up to me.
