Re: ***TTCAL 6+ Adoption Check In***

  • Wed. is the sit-down with Catholic Charities, and we're stoked. DH is working from home so we can get there ahead of traffic, and I am so excited to formally get our application in and be assigned a case worker.

  • I have been reading a few books from the library that have been helpful. Please post how it goes wednesday. Still just researching, wrote down some websites to check out. I have a little book that I have been writing down all my research in and websites I want to look into.

  • Well, let's see.  I went to Borders and bought the only 2 books they had on Adoption.

And we have our sit down with the CC Adoption Counselor on the 26th!

Gabe and I are still working through our desires, and thinking through some questions to ask.  The meeting will come right before our vacation.  So I'm sure it will give us something to talk about.

    Praying for you girls!

  • mostly narrowed our search to one agency locally, but also doing some outreach to a family friend who used to be a director at another agency that focus more internationally. We're fairly certain we don't want to go with that agency but I'd like to hear what he has to say about the process and the dirt on all of the agencies.

next steps: receive info packet from agency, attend one of their info sessions - next one is early September. (this isn't required, but I don't think we'll take any other steps before that anyway).

m/c#1 07/16/08 (11 weeks), m/c#2 10/10/08 (8 weeks). and then nothing since except every test possible (no answers). IUI#1 and #2: BFNs Super lucky to be buddies with Peetie. Our out of nowhere, surprise DD born 5/29/2011
  • We start our PRIDE classes tomorrow... Paperwork hopefully goes in this Friday!
