XP: Walmart's Dore Baby Rocking Chair...

I have yet to find one rocker/glider that I like. Except for the Luca glider (but it's $995 - not sure if my DH will go for that) I thought about getting the Dorel - Baby Rocking chair from Walmart with no slip cover (only $170!!!) and have it upholstered. Has anybody purchased it? Or knows anybody that has? Thoughts? Reviews? Opinions?

    We purchased it. I don't know if it was just mine or all of them, but the back part did not fit together correctly so it's a little crooked.

    There is nothing to upholster. You have to buy a slipcover. The fabric is just thin and velcro at some parts. It's hard to explain. Ha. I like it just fine for the price as far as looks are concerned. I can't comment on how it rocks with a baby yet.

    I don't like any of the colors available, I have a fabric that I've chosen so if I buy it I want to upholster instead of buying one of their covers.

    We have one and I ditto pp.  I got the butter cover and it's just a slight yellow.  The tan was almost white.  I am sure you could have it upholstered, but it would cost more than the chair- or at least that's what I have found, so I didn't do it.

    I'm having it done through work so it's free Smile, I just have to buy the fabric. I'm just really concerned about the actual quality of the chair. Did you like it?

    I have been looking at this chair too. I feel like the reviews about it have been kind of mixed. I too, am curious to hear more.
