IF sucks: reason # 8,946

If any of you ladies are like me and are very much Type A, then I'm sure you're as "off balanced" as I am through all this! While I obviously completely understand why we biologically can not just pick a date ahead of time for IUI's...it still sucks! If my body decides to cooperate and continue with it's "normal cycle length" then I will most likely get a +OPK Weds or Thurs; with the IUI being Thurs or Fri.

BUT, you can be sure. Who knows...I may ovulate late and it'll be sometime over the weekend! So my entire work schedule/meeting schedule is on hold. I can't plan any meetings for any of those mornings... and yet everyone is annoyed with me that I haven't set dates for everything! I'm running out of excuses for people; short of sticking a post-it on my forehead that reads: "I'm infertile...deal with it"

I TOTALLY understand!! Life is for sure put on hold. Everything was planned around my iui's. I had one on a Friday and then on a Saturday. I am right there with you!!

I'm not type A at all, and that gets on my nerves too. I have to plan my schedule ahead of time.

I TOTALLY agree! I find this so frustrating. I'm a big planner and having to constantly second guess when things might happen is so annoying, not to mention difficult when it comes to work stuff.

I'm super organized too. I've managed to come to accept that I cannot predict things, but then I get all irritated again when I have to explain it to others.A friend of mine asked me (nicely) when our next testing day was......I'm all "I don't know, it depends on when my next cycle starts." And she says, "When is that?" Ugh!

so true and trying to coordinate this with work schedules...It is nerve racking esp when I only have a few days to plan for it!

I'm with ya on the Type A... my 1st IUI next month may/may not happen - since we're going away in late September. If AF shows on my "typical" CD28 - I'm good - if it's late (like this month on CD37!) - I'm SOL.

I totally hear you. IVF #1 got put on hold a bit due to a cyst and I felt like I couldn't plan anything. And totally Type A me, thought I'd have a 1 year old by now.
