If you're going to do a word name, just own it and spell it Raven....the Y is unnecessary. (but even then I wouldn't use it as a first name....Raven as a middle name would work)
Where did he get this from?
A friend of mine has a dog, German Sheperd mix I believe, and her name is Raven. She is aggresive.

Glad to think I'm not the only one that thinks its terrible.
He likes unique names... for instance I want to name our son (if its a boy) Greyson, and he wants the middle name to be Wolfe.
Can you imagine the arguments we have over names? hahaha
My hubby liked Pilot for the baby we loss in March so yes I can imagine the arguments yall have.

I dislike Raven. I absolutely DESPISE Ravyn. Awful, awful, terrible. Katie is cute. I don't even know how to begin to pronounce Elaynna (How about Alayna?).

El-ee-ah-na
Like Eliana? Or Elianna? The Y made me imagine it very differently.

Yes, the y threw me for a loop too. I knew a little girl my sil used to keep who was Eliana and she was adorable.

Raven is nms but I would accept it as a name. Why the 'y' in Raven? Unnecessary and looks completely uneducated.
Elyanna also looks uneducated. Why the 'y'? Also, why the double 'n'? The double 'n' makes it look like the end should be pronounced like Anna, which is not nearly as pretty as the el-ee-ah-na pronunciation that you get with one 'n'. Eliana is beautiful.
Katie sounds too young for a full formal name. It would be cute as a kid, not so much as a professional adult. What about Kate, Katherine, Kaitlyn...?

Not planning on using it, but I prefer the correct spelling too. And it would be like the bird.
This.

Ravyn is AWFUL. So is Elyanna.

Spelled correctly, my vote is for Eliana
Good God, NO to Ravyn. Raven is NMS, but okay.
I would never pronouce Elyanna as Eliana. I would have thought it was some sort of cre8tive spelling of Elena or El-YAH-nah.
So...I think your best bet is Katherine, nn Katie.
Agreed.
