humm.....it screws into the back of the dresser? i didn't even realize that. I actually registered for that one and then changed it when people mentioned it ruined the finish of their dresser. arg
I think they were talking about the shelf liners ruining the finish- the screwing things don't- This works great, and actually has a non-stick bottom, but I was going to get the shelf liner anyway...but I guess not anymore!
Most of the changing pads I've seen come with a little strap attached to the back half. You screw it into the back of the dresser to secure it. Most peices of furniture I've bought have a similar thing, you are supposed to screw them to the wall so they don't tip in case someone pulls on the front (or in a kid's case, climbs on it).
