How much weight has your baby gained?

My little girl is 10 weeks old now and she has only gained 2 lbs! Is this normal? Has anyone else's LO's only gained a little weight? She seems extremely healthy otherwise, wiggling, talking, smiling, and she even rolled over the other day, but she seems to not be gaining as quickly as other babies. She's grown 2 1/2 inches so far and is at the 50th percentile for height, but only 10th percentile for weight. I'm breast feeding so I don't really have a way to know how much she's getting. She always eats for a long time, and seems completely satisfied. I just don't know what to do, and I feel like I'm letting her down and not providing enough milk for her.

BF babies sometimes gain at a slower rate compared to FF babies. My DD gained weight a lot slower than all other babies I knew but pedi said she was happy and healthy...no need for concern. Or she could just be petite. My DDs are always at 15% or less. As long as she's meeting all her milestones and has plenty of poopy and peepee diapers, I would say she's fine!

I think all babies are different and if you pedi is happy then don't worry. My DD#1 is 3 now and was 5lb 9oz when born, it took me a full year to get her to 15lbs. Now with DD#2 she was 6lb 10 oz when born and at her 2 mo check up today is 11lb 4 oz. Both are healthy. My DD#1 is just a small person.At 3 yrs old she is still only 29lbs but her pedi is fine with that she meets all her milestones so all is well. Don't worry just keep doing what your doing. I used to stress about it all the time with DD#1 and now I've come to realize that's just her!

My DS was 7lbs 7oz at birth and is now 11lbs 8oz at 9 weeks. He is FF.

DS is BF and is 10 weeks old.

7 lb 12.8oz at birth, and is now 14lbs

DS has gained 4 lbs 7 oz and has grown 3 1/2 inches in height. He is 9 weeks old. I EBF.

How much did she weigh to start with? As long as she's not suddenly loosing weight, you should be fine. What did the pedi say?

At her 2-month appt, she weighed 11 lbs 4 oz. She was born at 6 lbs 13.5 oz.

I do a combo of BF & FF. DS was 5 lbs 10 oz at birth. At 11 weeks, he is around 13 lbs.

If your pedi isn't concerned then she's probably fine. DS weighed 7lb5oz at birth and was 10lb5oz at his 2 month appointment. He's 25th percentile for length and weight and 50th for his head; nobody is worried.

Mathieu was 7lbs 7oz at birth and at 5wks 5d he weighed exactly 12lbs.

Every baby grows differently and as long as she is gaining some weight and has enough dirty/wet diapers a day I wouldn't worry about it!

I'm probably not the norm but our DS was 9 lbs 1oz at birth, was 8 lbs 5 oz when we left the hospital and now at almost a month old, he was 11 lbs 7 oz today at the Dr. He's also grown almost 2 inches. I'm a little afraid actually. lol I EBF
