Washed sperm

Has your RE said how long washed sperm will live after IUI?  I know it doesn't live as long as if it was in fertile CM and since IUI bypasses CM entirely.  I just can't remember what my RE told me and googling has given me answers anywhere from 6-72 hours.  I'm curious what your doctors told you if you asked?

DX: High FSH/DOR
It took 44 cycles, just over 3 years, 6 failed IUI's in MI, and 1 round of IVF at CCRM to get our BFP!
Beta #1 (9dp5dt) = 206, Beta #2 (11dp5dt) = 438
1st u/s @ 6w5d = 11/11/11 = ONE little bean! HB 120bpm!

    I think it lasts pretty close to as long as normal because after they wash it they put some better than mucousy (not a medical term) material in with it.  I can't remember exactly what it is called, but I remember my RE explaining the process to me.
    3/09 off BCP TTC 6/09 DX PCOS 9/09, endometriosis, bicornuate uterus DH- All #'s are above normal! 1500 mg Metformin 6 rounds of Clomid + HCG trigger- All BFN 8/10 IUI #1 Gonal F + Ovidrel BFN 9/10 On a much needed break 10/10 Laparoscopy 11/10- 6/11 IUI #2-4 Gonal F, Ovidrel, and progesterone, produced 4-8 follies each cycle, all BFN 8/11 IVF #1 R-20, M-17, F W/ICSI 2 :( 3dt of a 4 cell and 7 cell BFP!!!! BETA #1 115, #2 488, #3 2900 -SAIFAW- PAIFAW- Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

    I just had my first IUI on Wednesday of this week and my doctor told me 24-48 hours...
