I've not been on chat, but as far as posting goes, sometimes things you say--or the way you say them--rubs me the wrong way. But, and this may have something to do with the longer I'm here the more snark-minded I get, usually I have no problem with you telling it like it is.

I've certainly never been inspired to call you out for something you've said.

See that is where we differ....I am never wrong....at least that is what I try to convince my husband. He doesn't believe me either!

I guess my post was to say if I had a problem with you (which I don't) I will call you out on it without hiding. In my opinion if you can't admit you are saying something you are a loser!

The ONLY time she is every *rude* is when it comes to ladies coming in and posting some random question that could have been answered by scrolling through the board. Some ladies to deserve the snark, and some don't. Atl is one of the sweetest girls on this board...and yes I am her friend, but I not just trying to defend her because of that.

But the person coming into chat and posting something about her and leaving without anyone knowing who they were was way rude. This is another reason some ladies here are snarky...because of the childish BS that some people here put out, not just in chat, but the board in general.

And yes, you are new, therefore you have no reason to be calling out someone that you don't know. Get to know her, and you will understand where the snark comes from....the crazy newbs here.

Don't give up on us yet! lol I just try to look at it as entertainment. If you come across with a serious question, you'll absolutely find the help & support you're looking for. I think its just when girls have ridiculous questions that really common sense could answer, the sarcastic responses come out. Don't get me wrong, sometimes I think a few ladies can be a little snarkier than necessary, but then I think of all of the great advice they've given me and others and chalk it up as comedy

It's snark. It's part of this board. It's also not THAT bad jeez! It's stupidity as well, I mean seriously people can be freaking dumb! Contrary to what was taught in kindergarden there are stupid questions. Everyone has their own personality and has every right to express it however they want to.

OH and to the woman who want to leave, stay. Give it a chance. While the snark is heavy the knowledge is there to help you with almost anything you could come across in your TTC journey

I would tend to agree with this statement for the most part. Sometimes the snark is completely justified, but other times I read something and think, "Wow, that was uncalled for." I've also noticed that some newbs follow your lead, which I guess is a complement to you, since it means people look up to you. But I remember a couple months ago when it was discussed that newbs should not snark just for the sake of being "cool."

I do agree that someone hiding out in chat and bad-mouthing you is lame. (For the record, I've been to chat before, so it would have said "Melissa2216 is now gabber123"--wasn't me.)

I'm not defending the childish behavior of someone else. However, how does posting another topic about it help things? It doesn't; it stirs up more strife.

Also, how can I possibly get to know her if I'm too darn scared to say the wrong thing to her? You guys encourage us to lurk, that's not only how we learn about the community but how we learn about the people. And like I said before her comments are usually very aggressive or rude. What should I do, PM her and ask if she was verbally abused as a child?

The issue isn't "Oh noes, atlb is mean! wahhhh!" It's that someone is apparently way too invested and cowardly that they have to talk sh!t about her in chat as gabber###.
