I had my 24 week check up today and it went really well. My old OB left the practice so it was really different going to a new OB when I'm halfway through. Luckily the new OB was partners with my old one and I saw him for my kidney stones a couple months ago.The only major difference between the two is the new OB is pretty young and VERY good looking.
I ended up gaining back 1 pound so we are on track with my lovely ice cream diet. My BP was really low at 90/62 and LOs heartbeat was around 143.
The only downfall to the appointment was the traces of blood in my urine which indicates that the kidney stones are still there. I knew this before hand with the pain I've been having lately and the occasional darkening of my urine but it still sucked to hear it from the doctor.
I go back in 3 weeks to do my Glucose test and see progress with the weight gain.
Re: I still have Kidney stone. =(
It does. The sucky thing is that those things just regenerate so you never really get rid of them completely. I could have passed the 3 that caused me to get it diagnosed and more formed.
I was just with Mr. MM in Walmart doubled over in pain. I would rather take morning sickness over the stones.
Bleah. Yeah, and I'm complaining about a sore back. Sorry again. Here's to hoping that it gets better before this is all over. I imagine it makes enjoying the pregnancy a little more difficult than it could be.
It does but I try to suffer through it with little complaint. I was given pain killers for them which I try to take sparingly and when I do take them I just take half the pill to take the edge off. Interestingly enough, when I take a pill LO becomes very active. Part of me thinks it's just preparing me for the pain of labor and delivery since a lot of people compare passing a stone to giving birth.
I never had them before. I've had UTIs and a Kidney infection but never stones, so this is something new.
Oh, girl-I started getting those in high school-I'm SO SORRY you're having to deal with this right now! I had to pee through a strainer any time I had them to make sure they passed and I always felt like such a tool whenever I did it.
Now that I think about it, I'm like an old woman...I get kidney stones, I started going gray at 21, I can't hear like I used to, and my eyesight is awful...
