So back in February of this year when I had my first HSG my insurance covered nothing and we were completely OOP. The HSG cost me a nice $823. So when they found the Hydrosalpinx my RE sent me back to my OBGYN to have the surgery so it would be covered. My right tube was removed and my left one had lots of scar tissue but since it wasn't a hydro my GYN left it in. Well my RE wants to do another HSG this cycle to make sure the left is still clear. Well this time I have different insurance and they cover diagnostic testing. This HSG is only costing me $25 co-pay. WHOOHOO to new insurance! I know its only diagnostic testing and no meds or treatment but every little bit helps and I can appreciate that!
