Water Birth In Lake County/Mchenry Area
I would like to look into the option of Water birth. I live in Lake County and I am very close to McHenry. Does anyone have any recommendations on an OB or hospital? Since this is my first, I do want to have the baby at the hospital and not at home.

I don't know that any OBs are supportive of water births (I could be wrong on this though, but I'm guessing there are very few out there if any). You will probably want to go through a midwife if you want a water birth.
For my DS I had a water birth at Prentice with the Midwives of Northwestern. For my next birth I am considering either West Suburban in Oak Park (they do offer water births) or Hinsdale Hospital (they do not offer water births).

If you are interested in doing a waterbirth in a hospital setting and not at home. Centegra in Mchenry (NIMC) has a birthing tub in one of their rooms. Dr. Stankevych and the midwife Rebecca Rose in McHenry are amazing! I saw both of them throughout my pregnancy but Rebecca was with me for delivery. The nurses at the hospital are amazing as well.
