Paci Weining
Hi ladies,
Has anybody gone through weining your LO off of a paci?
What age did you do it at? How long did they go nuts until they got used to not having it?
My LO is almost 7.5 months and we feel like it's around that time.

My DD is 28 months and still uses it to fall asleep at night (and sometimes naps). She has two-year molars breaking through now, and if her paci helps her sleep through that, I'm in no rush to take it away.
We've tried to take it away a few times. One night, I just told her I'd buy her a stuffed animal if she didn't use it. She slept through the whole night without it. I thought it was soooo easy. Next few nights after that ... she screamed bloody murder until I gave in.
With No. 2 on the way ... we'll take it away soon and give her time to adjust before she starts seeing them around the house again.
Good luck. I think it would have been easier if we started the process younger--before she could ask for it. I'm weak.
