Hello Ladies,
Today is cd 3. I went in today for ultrasound/bw in hopes of starting IUI #2. During the ultrasound, the nurse says "well, you have a cyst on each ovary". My heart sank. I asked how big....the on on the left was 16 mm, the one on the right was 26 mm. She then proceeds to tell me that the RE will most likely cancel my IUI. She said that if the cysts are producing estrogen, then it will be cancelled but if they are not, then there still might be a chance. She did say that I got these because of the Clomid 50 mg.
I am trying to stay positive. With my first IUI I felt doomed. During an ultrasound the electricity went out, then for IUI the fertility clinic was flooded so we had to drive an hour away to another clinic then it took 3 hourse to get home.
I know that my life could be WAY worse, and I am not trying to throw myself a pitty party. I am just beyond frustrated.
Has anyone had any cysts from Clomid? Any chance a 26 mm could go away in 2 days?? Wishful thinking I guess.
Hope you ladies are having a great day!!
Heather
Re: Baseline appt showed 2 cysts
Hey Heather...I've had cysts from Clomid. They are no fun! Sorry you are dealing with them this cycle. Mine did cancel the current cycle and when I went in for the next CD3 check they were still there, so my RE put me on BCPs for a month to see if that would help them go away. I'm waiting for AF now, to see if that did the trick.
Hang in there....GL!!

I am so sorry for the bad news. Cysts are a very common s/e of Clomid which is why monitoring is so important.
I hope the cysts go away real soon!
Yep! I was the one that was late. Today is cd 3. I was exactly 2 days late. I do think that it has to do with the progesterone. I REALLY hope that it will just go away on its own!! And your right...maybe it will happen naturally. Maybe my nurse was just trying to make me feel better, but she said that your chances increase because the meds are still in your system.
Looks like we are cycle buddies!! Hopefully we can keep each other POSITIVE!!
