Vent Fest... Monday Night Poll.

I hate, hate when pregnant women complain, but heck, let's have a Monday night vent fest! I'm feeling kind of cranky, so let 'em rip!

What's your *least* favorite thing about being pregnant?

Mine? My body just refuses to keep up. I love to do stuff and to be on my feet, and I'm finding myself totally incapable these days. It's driving me nuts. And I hate when my feet swell.

  • How anyone who's been pregnant at least once before is now an expert at all things pregnancy related and knows everything I am going through.

I am getting a lot of unsolicited advice.

I guess mine right now would be the kidney stones which is followed by the exhaustion from the pain that they cause.

I hate the way my body has all these aches and pains like my tailbone when I sit.

I also hate the way I 'roll' out of bed up or to sit up from the couch. I feel like every time I move it's "belly first"

  • yah I don't mind being pregnant and all of the little negatives that go with it, except for when I'm at work at my retail job.. then every little back/pelvic/tailbone pain and feeling tired seems 1000x worse.  I hate complaining about it, but it just sucks!  I dunno if I'm gonna be able to keep doing it when I'm 7 or 8 months along.

  • *knock on wood* I've had a fairly easy pregnancy thus far so I think my least favorite thing right now is finding something to wear! I've been living in leggings for the past month and I'm getting frustrated trying to find tops to wear. Every time I go to buy new clothes I talk myself out of everything....I can't spend the money for some reason!

Physically I am sick of the heartburn/acid reflux. It drives to crazy day and night!

  • Lacking in energy and the ability to move around quickly without getting tired :O(  I am not looking forward to the days when going to the grocery store will entirely wear me out....

  • I kinda contradict myself but...

    1. I HATE when people complain about weight all the time. I can't stand comments from others about my body. Any body image issue coming from others bugs me.

    2. I opened the shower curtain and saw myself in the mirror, all shiny and bulging. I look like a fat pink seal. I should be in a show in Sea World. Ugh, pregnancy steals my sexy, I want my sexy back!

  • So far I have not enjoyed the amount of time I've been spending at the dr. office!! I'm high risk so I've been seeing some other specialists. In the past week I've been to the doctors 3 time and then I have another appt in 2 weeks! Don't get me wrong I'm so grateful to be pregnant and have a healthy baby!

Haha- about your #2- every time I see my naked self, all I see are the stretch marks- I don't see how DH finds me even remotely attractive anymore, but oh well- it's his spawn! :))

This is the joy that no one ever told me about- btw- when you get pregnant, you will not be able to poop normally for nine months. YAY!

I laugh too. But it's annoying to say now that I literally roll out of bed in the mornings.

  • ACNE. I knew it would be bad not being on my BCP, but I didn't expect it to be this bad.

  • So far I have had a very good pregnancy. Not really any M/S or discomfort.

The worst parts would be more emotional then physical.

I am a very on the go person, but I just can't seem to be on my feet for long periods of time.

All the questions and opinions for others that seem forced as opposed to just light advice. Like what we need, and how much things cost. I love that somebody whose last child was born 14 years ago wants to tell me what furniture should cost me us today, and that what I want is too much

    and these questions:

"Do you know what your having?" Yes a baby. Finally at 21 weeks we found out its a girl.

So now we have "What name have you chosen?" followed by "How about...? Half of the names are so out there its annoying they even want me to entertain the idea of considering them.

While I am trying to adjust and prepare my home and life for this new addition, Im not sure my husband is full on board yet, so it get frustrating explaining to him why I don't want to wait till the last minute do the nursery etc.

  • TMI TMI TMI  Just warning you!

I had an anal fissure last week!  It was horrible and gross and I can't complain about it to anyone so the only people that know are me, my doc, and her assistant (and now all of you).  My husband knew something was up when I was basically on a liquid diet that was high in fiber but bless his heart he knew better than to ask!

  • I also feel so not sexy.  I have never had this low of a sex drive in my life, and I keep staring at my pre-pregnancy clothes wistfully.
  • 1.  Premature Ventricular Contractions.  My Dr. says it's totally normal, but it lays me flat out half the day, MOST days.  That can't be normal.

    2.  Feeling like I have energy to do something, and then halfway through it realizing it's too much and I'm going to have to stop.  :(

    3.  FMLA issues with work because of the PVC.  Its the only thing that has stressed me out during my pregnancy.

I used to be a big deal.  Now I'm just old.
  • i hate the diet.  im not a very healthy person so its been really difficult for me.  and the no caffine thing kills.
  • I could do without the gagging every time I brush my teeth.  It really just ruins the whole experience for me as I am OCD and have a teeth brushing system down pat, lol.

  • I hate this annoying tailbone pain I have. I get it when I sit for more than 20 minutes. It takes me a while to get up and get moving for it to stop hurting.

  • I hate feeling so tired all the time.  And the insomnia at night, trying to get comfortable laying on my side.  Of course then this leads to me being tired the next day.  *sigh*
  • I hate the feeling of my inflated boobs sitting on my growing belly. For whatever reason, it drives me absolutely nuts!  And I'm always sweating. Eww.

  • 1.  Starting a project around the house, getting halfway done, and then getting exhausted.

    2.  Heartburn and indigestion.

    3.  TERRIBLE insomnia because I just can't get comfortable.  And then I am exhausted the next day.  This is going to KILL me when school starts.

  • Ooh, I have a few...

    1. I hate that I just moved from upstate NY to southern AZ and now I can't go outside in the middle of the day without getting dehydrated and getting a migraine! Thanks Army!

    2. I hate that I wake up every 2 hours all night..ugh...I've decided to look at it as practice for having newborn twins!

    3. I hate that things I could comfortably do a few weeks/months ago leave me utterly exhausted.

BUT, I am so looking forward to having 2 little ones in a few months (after years of trying) that none of it really bothers me all that much!

  • I hate the stretching or whatever the hell is going on right now. I've already complained about this, but my belly has doubled in size over the last week and I have so much pressure in my pelvis. The doctor said they can't do anything, but I am fed up. I can't do anything and I was on such a good roll with working out. :-(

  • I truly hate the breathlessness, racing heart rate and sleepless nights.  It makes me feel rundown every day.  I'm trying to count my blessings though-at least I'm not on bed rest or something like that!

You've had a racing heart rate too? This happened to me twice today and I freaked out! I thought it had something to do with the tiny amount of caffeine that I drank. That makes me feel so much better! :-)

Yeah, I freaked out, too, last week when it first started happening.  But, I looked it up and found out it's pretty much normal.  Funny thing is about two days after I freaked, my daily pregnancy journal mentioned that this would probably start happening.  Gee...wish they would've mentioned it a little earlier.  LOL

  • Ooh, I forgot the racing heart! That's annoying! It happened during my doc visit and I asked if there was anything I could do to make it better, she just laughed...
  • My top three today are 1. The nagging, sharp pain under my right rib that appeared two weeks ago and has not left.  I can't sit unless I lean way back to stretch out the ribcage area.  Blah. MIL said it actually bruised on the outside (from the moving on the inside) in the same spot with one of her pregnancies! 2. The hemorrhoids that appeared last night. Ouch.  3. Braxton Hicks contractions. They're just annoying.

  • I hate peeing every 5 minutes and hearing my MIL say "And how are you feeling today dear" EVERY. TIME. SHE. CALLS.
  • I cannot stand people instantly assuming that I have no idea what my body is going through!!!!!!!!!!! They obviously know better than I do since, they were never tired or had swollen feet while pregnant. I must be over exaggerating & maybe my feet were fat before the pregnancy.
  • i hate how cranky i am and how i have no energy to play with DS or clean!
  • I hate puking in front of my son :(  It isn't the puking that is so bad, it is the trying to explain that I'm okay while puking that is such a drag.

I had this problem too- until I switched my prenatal vitamin. I bought Rainbow Light prenatal One Vitamins, which has a mix of vitamins that promote healthy digestion...whatever that means. But I did find that I no longer have poop problems once I switched! Hope it gets better, that's the worst.

  • I HATE that I am STILL sick!!!!  I can't do anything because the second I do... puke city.  I wish I had a whole day of feeling good so I could enjoy this pregnancy.

I hate getting tired after doing one thing on my list...

I hate FORGETTING that I even have a list, let alone forgetting to do what's on it along with everything else.

I hate that I can't sleep. And when I do I get up so many times to pee that I might as well be awake.

I hate that it is so hot in Florida that I can't go outside and have to stay in the a/c all day.  (Otherwise I'd probably be in the hospital for the 3rd time)

But, I love my husband (just wish he'd give me some foot rubs and massages) I can't wait for our baby girl!  I feel so blessed and lucky to be having this baby.  I am super thankful for the baby clothes and other baby things I have recieved.

Did I mention how much I love my mood swings!  lol

  • Would it be wierd if I said that my biggest PG vent is that we're not supposed to complain? I mean, honestly. We're all excited to have babies, but that doesn't mean we have to love achy hips, shoulders falling asleep when we sleep, stretch marks, nausea, etc. Just like we will all love our kids but I bet we'll complain about them from time to time, too.

I'm not a Debbie Downer but I also don't think being KU should make me Suzy Sunshine. I got pretty tired of people asking me, "How do you feel" when I was still green and exhausted and when I'd say, "Ok" or "kinda rough right now" they'd look all sad and say things like, "I just want you to enjoy this time!" Yeah, ok, I'll enjoy it right after I ralf on your shoes.

ETA- now that I don't feel nauseous all.the.time I am actually enjoying it.

  • I would say the constipation! also i was diabetic before (under control) taking on pill a day for it and now i have to inject 5x day!!  Crying

ohh well, its all temporary right???????

  • Unsolicited advice.  God it's so old.  Just because you've birthed a baby or two doesn't mean your an expert.

Being asked "Where's the baby?" when people look at me.  Trust me, he's there.  Either that or it's a really pissed off tapeworm masquerading as a human being.

And my DH's grandfather telling me to not lose the baby as a "good bye" every time we see him.  Cause, you know, that's any more in my control than the miscarriage in January.
