My coworker and I often make comments like, "But really, how many people love their jobs anyway??" Assuming the answer to be, "almost no one"!
I really thought that, for most people, their jobs were a means to an end - you go to work to earn money to spend during the time you're away from work.
I hope most people don't hate their jobs, but I'm really surprised to read how many of you love your jobs.

There is no way I could get up and leave DD everyday (or in my case, 3 days/week) if I didn't enjoy what I was doing. Granted there are days that I wish I could stay home, or days I wish I was doing something else, and I definitely do my share of complaining. But if I didn't feel fulfilled by my career then I definitely would be looking for something else.
I did change job locations because I was extremely stressed in my workplace last year, and it wasn't worth it to me (DH was actually ready to just have me quit and stay home). Now that I'm going to be in a new place, I'm excited about my job again (and actually kind of looking forward to starting in a few weeks!)
I think there are two things - one, we try to convince ourselves that we do
and two, I think you can interpret love loosely. If I won the lottery I would quit my job in a hot minute. But because we prefer to live on two incomes than one and because I make substantially more than we pay in day care, it is a big advantage for me to work AND for the most part, I enjoy it. I love the job because it is enjoyable and offers us a better quality of life.
