I know August is National Breast Feeding Awareness month, and there have been a lot of posting about it on FB. I have A LOT of momma friends on there that I've been talking to for a long while now.
I have a few that are "lac-tavists". I think BFing is great. But, one of my friends has a picture of her BFing her child as her profile pic. I can't help but be a little weirded out about it.
I'm all for BFing but I really don't need to see your boob everytime I see you post a status update. I'm almost about to hide her.
Re: FB picture
I'm all about NIP but even I think the BFing profile pic is a bit much. Ick.

Yeeeeah, I agree with you. I am all for breast feeding and I can watch my sis or best friend do it, but a profile pic? Too much for me.
This makes me think of someone I know who had recently lost their baby at 40 weeks gestation and delivered a stillborn. It was the most traumatic and heart-wrenching thing I have ever heard, and I know everyone grieves in their own way, but he had a pic of the baby as his profile pic. I couldn't even look at it without sobbing my eyes out. My sister was a complete wreck too because she had just delivered her little girl the day before. It was so sad.
I just believe that some things are just way too personal for Facebook.
I have a friend who did this too and you can see 80% of her boob and a lot of nipple.
not my thing
