Infertility

Charting Temp

This next cycle, if no BFP, I was going to start filling out the fertility chart instead of doing the sticks but it looks complicated with everything you should fill out and notice.  Do you ladies have any tips to using this chart that the bump provides?  Also, I noticed some people have filled it out online, how were you able to do so?  When I print it out the font is so tiny, it would be much easier to fill it out online.  Thanks ladies!

Re: Charting Temp

  • I use www.fertiliyfriend.com

It's easy to use, and very helpful.

  • Once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy!   You get into a routine.  It's way easier to use Fertility Friend.  Not only can you enter your temps online there and share your chart with us, but the tutorials are amazing!  They teach you everything you need to know about it.
  • I have no advice to offer--it has been so, so long since I've charted. Since most of us have been with our REs for a really long time and have had them monitoring our ovulation, maybe you'd get a better response on TTGP or TTTC than IF.

  • Ditto what Madelyn said about checking on the other boards to get info. Charting was so very very long ago (2007 for me).

I would recommend that you still use OPKs in addition to charting. That's what I used to do. Charting is really only going to tell you when you O after the fact. While that's great to try and get a pattern, it may change each cycle. It's not going to help you not miss your TI chance. I always liked supplementing with OPKs because it was nice to see that they really did correlate.
