Lovely $700 bill for bloodwork... Grr.

So, I went for my standard bloodwork the dr. ordered from my first appointment, and then I received a $700 bill from Quest because genetic testing isn't covered...  I didn't ask to have genetic testing done!  I'm 25 and neither my husband or myself have a family history that would require it.  Then, I call my dr. office and am told by the nurse that it's part of the OB panel.  WTH???  Has anyone else experienced this issue?  Is this just the beginning?

    Yes, I think that screening for certain genetics issues (such as whether you are a CF carrier) are standard at OB practices.  It was for me when I got pregnant the first time.
