Anatomy scan at 28 weeks?

Is any one else having one this late? I just met with my OB nurse this morning. I asked about u/s. She said I'll have one 14-16 weeks and then not again until 28 weeks. I just thought this sounded so late. Any one else having one this late or know of anyone who did?

That sounds late. Mine is going to be at 20 weeks.

28 weeks seems late to me. My doctors office does one around 9 weeks and another around 20 weeks.

I got one early to date the little one at 6 wks. 5 days...it's a few days behind our EDD and we were told we probably wouldn't get another until 20 wks. I'm sort of bummed, but we should see a lot by 20 wks!

From what I understand there is a reason they want to do the anatomy scan between 18-20ish weeks for diagnostic reasons and the ability to see everything. I would ask why they do it so late.

That's what I was thinking. I know even at 20 weeks sometimes the baby doesn't cooperate so as it is. Add an extra 8 weeks and I think he/she will have very little room. But I don't know. This is my first time. Big Smile

My office does the date, a follow up growth/heartrate, and 20 week. I know he said some other ones that will take place after 20 weeks but I already seem to have forgotten that information
