So DH and I are in FWP week (or, at the rate it's taking me to O this cycle, FWP month) and got to know each other a little better last night.
Today I have my annual check-up at the gyn's (at which I'm hoping she'll FINALLY admit that 18 months and one non-viable pregnancy is not "normal").
Anyway, flame my shorts off for sounding like a newbie, but...
Is she gonna see the semen still up in there? Or has it dissolved or evaporated or whatever at this point?

Yeah, I think it'd still be there... but I don't think you should worry about it at all. They've probably seen it all - from people with, like, Monopoly boards up their chatches to, like, weeds growing.
I hope the appointment goes well. Let us know.
Oh, and good to see you!

I agree, it'll still be there. But in the whole realm of things they see, a little semen is probably nothing. As someone said to me earlier in the week "they play with semen all the time." LOL.
I hope she gives you some help. I agree, 18 months without a viable pregnancy should be time to get some assistance.
Yeah, I was trying to think of something really absurd.

this is hilarious. and probably true.
that being said, I wouldn't worry.
good luck today!
She's gonna see it. But I doubt she'll even say anything....they've seen it all!
And FWP month should be my motto, it's always anyone's guess when I might O. My OB finally admitted that 14 months & a non-viable pregnancy was not normal & I houpe yours will do the same. It's frustrating to go onto the RE, but hopefully it brings progress. Good luck today!
My Blog
A friend of mine had to see her ob/gyn in high school to remove an old tampon that she had forgotten about and left in for WEEKS. She HAD SEX with the tampon in!! It was jammed waaaay up there and her doctor had to get all up in it....so I'm sure a little semen is no biggie.
(and FWIW, her doctor told her it was NOT the first time he'd had to take out an old tampon)
This.
And Lindsay, that is that is the grossest thing I've ever read.
I say, tell her you wanted to prove that you are being REALLY diligent at TTC.
In all seriousness though, I wouldn't worry about it. I've had to go in unexpectedly with stubbly legs and whatnot. No one cared.
