Any idea about how far along I am?

I know how to calculate how many weeks I am but I am unsure where to count from. I had my normal Period on June 6th and then on the 26th I had 2 days of light bleeding but more than I would say was spotting. SO when do I count from? Will they be able to tell how far along I am at my first OBGYN appt , even if I am this confused! This was a little bit of a shock because I just went off BC in June!!!

Sounds like an early ultrasound is needed to date your pregnancy.

I can't answer your question but can say that I am in the exact same situation as you!

I really have no idea when we conceived... off birth control mid-June, had what I thought was a period mid-July but BFP on 7/28 so I think what I thought was a period was spotting? I have a doctor appointment tomorrow to confirm the pregnancy with blood test and I'm hoping they can tell me how far along I am. Have you made your first appointment yet?

The only way to know is if you know when you ovulated or a transvaginal ultrasound to see the size of the sac or baby. All babies develop the same until 12-14 weeks so this is the most accurate time to get measurement and EDD for you.

I am not 100% sure about my ovulation so I have a vag cam on Friday to get my EDD too.

Thanks everyone! Doglover4 you made me feel so much better! I thought I was the only one with a problem like this!! I did make my first appt and it is tomorrow!!! I am so nervous! When I talked to my OBGYN about TTC She said call right after I find out and make an appt for 2 weeks later. So I did!!

Can you tell I am a first time mom? lol

First time for me too, I'm so nervous/anxious ack! Let us know how your doc appointment goes tomorrow. I had mine today, doc said my uterus feels small so I am probably not that far along. I have an ultrasound tomorrow that will hopefully nail this down so I can get a due date! Good luck!

I know it has been a few days but I wanted to update on my first Doctors appt. The OB said I was 5 weeks 3 days on the day of my appt. (now I am 6 weeks 1 day.)

I don't have an u/s for another few appt. I will hear the hear beat the next appt (at 9 weeks 3 days.) Everything was good so far!!

Congrats on being pregnant! I would definitely count from the first day of your last period. The first two weeks of your "pregnancy" is actually before you've actually conceived, because it's almost impossible for most people to determine the actual day that they conceived. It sound like your spotting could have been implantation bleeding, which is really common. Your doctor may adjust your due date after you have your first ultrasound. This happened with mine, and it sounds like it happens pretty often.
